Type a question, such as "How do I start, if my mornings are a mess?" or "What does Keep do?", and tap Ask. It answers from the Routine Run method first, then says which buttons to press. The answer appears on the page. Ask a follow-up and it remembers what you asked before. Start over clears the conversation.
Who answers
- iOS 27: Apple's cloud model, which has the whole method. What you ask is used to answer and not kept.
- iOS 26 with Apple Intelligence: the model on your iPhone, which has the five-minute version of the method. Nothing leaves it.
- Without Apple Intelligence: use Ask Claude or ChatGPT instead.
It knows how the app works, not what is in your routines. For help with one of your routines, open it and use Describe changes….
Asking your own assistant
Ask Claude or ChatGPT instead sends the app's explanation to any assistant through the share sheet, with whatever you typed as the first question. Then carry on there.
