TestFlight

Try it before it is out.

Routine Run is in testing. Places are limited, and what you say about it changes what ships.

Free while in beta. After launch, 3 routines stay free forever. Pro is for more.

Who it is for

People who do the same few things again and again, and would rather hand the order to the phone. On-call engineers first: the runbook starts on the Lock Screen.

What to expect

New builds every few days. Some things will break. Every report is read, and the changes are on Changes.

What works where

iOS 26.1

Everything you start yourself: runs, steps that do things, check-ins, deadlines in your calendar or Reminders, triggers by time, place, Focus and workout, Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, Apple Watch with watchOS 26, widgets, iCloud sync, Siri and Shortcuts. Writing a routine from a sentence on the phone needs Apple Intelligence.

iOS 27

Starting a routine on its own from another app's notification, for example when something pages you, or from an event or reminder you set. A shortcut a step runs goes in the background; on iOS 26 it waits for your tap and opens Shortcuts.
